Art and Craft

Ahazaza School is keen in fostering creativity and allowing students to discover their full potential in creative arts.

Students are grouped in different workshops of crafts making and pottery. Students are taught to appreciate Art in a broader context other than that of the classroom set up.

Headed by a talented and qualified teacher in sports, Ahazaza School is geared towards offering a conducive environment for nurturing students’ talents in all sporting activities.

Social Studies

The inclusion of Social Studies in the curriculum right of primary classes signifies the importance of the subject and the role it plays in a student’s life. Social Studies is incorporated in the school curriculum through a combination of subjects like – History, Geography, Cultural Studies, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology,...

Science & Technology

Science education is one of the most important subjects in our  school due to its relevance to students’ lives and the universally applicable problem-solving and critical thinking skills it uses and develops. we learn physical processes, human body, animals, environment , hand tools and plants.

Music in Ahazaza is a tool through which we inculcate the appreciation of cultural diversity. Our students have access to a range of musical instruments such as piano, guitars, flutes and drums.

The students have a lot of fun dancing traditionally and playing drums.

We introduce mathematics in kindergarten and it remains a core part of the curriculum through graduation. We cover measurement (metric system), algebra, geometry, statistics, operations and probability.

We conduct all our classes in both French and English. We are the only school in Rwanda to do this. (The only exception is the Kinyarwanda lesson, which we conduct in Kinyarwanda.)

Computer science

As computer education continues to bring on board new and amazing ways in which to explore  and learn about our world. Even the way we teach it is evolving to incorporate new  needs. We have a full time ICT personel/teacher and teaching ICT begins from age 6 to 11. Our school uses optic fibres as a source of internet and the school computer laboratory is open to teachers and relevant classes through the week.
